What Are the Essential Parts of a Business Receipt?
- A receipt must have an accurate label at the topmost part of it.
- After the label, the basic information of the business or company must be written:
- its name
- logo
- company address
- contact information
- Below that, the customer’s information would be stated.
- Then an itemized list for the business transaction that the customer has made with the business must be written. This part should include the following:
- the name of the items purchased (products or services)
- the size per unit
- the number of units purchased
- the price per unit
- the total amount per item purchased
- Another section would be dedicated to other fees such as:
- delivery fee, if applicable
- taxable items’ fees
- service fees if the service is only a consequence of the main item purchased, which is a product
- Then the summation of all the amounts due to the customer would be written.
- After that, the payment method must be indicated.
- Lastly, the signature of the customer as well as of the agent processing the transaction or purchase.
