  • Interpersonal skills. As a PT, you must be able to show your patients that you care about them and you must have strong listening and communication skills in order to fully understand a patient’s concern.
  • Physically able. In order to help patients regain their locomotive skills, a PT must be physically able to help out their patients. This includes physical fitness as you will be encountering patients who are having a hard time supporting themselves on their own.
  • Observant. PTs treat and diagnose their patients by focusing on their physical attributes like improvements and the like.
