If your family Sunday brunch is also an opportunity where matters about your brood are talked about, you might want to get make an agenda. An agenda is a list of matters or issues that must be discussed in an assembly or meeting. Here are some reasons why having one is important:

• It can encourage members or concerned parties to attend. If people know what is going to be the meeting all about, they may end up attending so that they can also present their opinions and concerns.
• It sets the mood. It prepares everyone to to listen and talk about the topics that are to be considered
• It gives focus or direction. Chances are you and the rest of the family members might end up talking about other things not related to the purpose of your assembly; in other words, digressing from the more important matters to be discussed at hand. The agenda can help you get back on track.
• It makes the discussion more productive. Since you can keep track of everything that can be talked about, you can finish earlier and you can talk about other things that are not in the agenda.
